01
Local regulation
You might need to notify your neighbors when you want to arrange a wedding in your home. keep in mind that there are some local regulations that will not permit any events in a neighborhood for noise and disturbance concerns.
02
Guest's needs
This is another thing you need to prepare besides accommodation & parking. Even if it's only 10 cars, you need to make sure where your guests can park their cars.
03
Hire a professional wedding planner
First thing first, It's better if you could bring along the planner to help you do your wedding preparation. If you decided to let the professionals handle your decor and other necessities of your events, don't forget to give them a detailed explanation on what you expect in your wedding.
04
Adorn it with your personal things
One of the reasons you decide to have your wedding in your home apart from pandemic reason might be because of the memory it holds since your childhood. Don't take away your childhood photo displays, you could always use them as part of your wedding prop. It can also be wonderful for your guests to see.
05
Catering or Home cooking
Hiring a caterer takes a lot of pressure off the couple, you won't have to worry about cooking or handling food but not every catering company can work in a private home. Get price quotes and details from a few caterers to find one who can accommodate. Alternatively, you could order in catered food from your favorite restaurant or ask a friend or family member to assist with the barbecue on-site.
06
Hire a Makeup artist
Many of us spend a large part of our lives dreaming about our perfect wedding day: the attire, the venue, the music, and most important: how we will look at the end of it all. although your wedding is taking place at home but nothing should stop you from looking glamorous.
07
Think through event flow
It's important to walk through the day's events once or twice before your wedding. You need to consider the timing and the flow of people, starting once guests arrive (parking, entering the home, seating for event) through the end of the event.
08
Think About Lighting
Very very important to remember LIGHTING, You have to make sure your guests can see where they are going, so you have to install some kind of lighting to facilitate that. You also have to think about a back-up power source (like a generator) to ensure that your home's electricity can take the extra strain.
09
Hire a seasoned Photographer/videographer
I really don't want to advertise my expertise but sum up here by saying Minimalism is stunning and as a photographer, I am really enjoying it. We are getting creative, with less people. A very personalized experience for the couple by keeping the minimal number of crew members at the home based weddings. and most importantly that will be your once in a life time memory, Choose wisely!
